The Casita at Tridentata
Your Resting Place
Set within the Tucson Mountains, the casita is a quiet two-bedroom, two-bathroom retreat created for rest, privacy, and unhurried time. Natural materials, soft light, and thoughtful details bring a sense of warmth and ease, while the screened porch opens toward the desert, the herd, and the wider sanctuary.
The casita is not separate from the experience of Tridentata. It is the place where the body can settle, where there is room to rest and digest, and where what has been received can begin to integrate.
The Living Area
The living area offers two quiet places to settle in. One side holds a desert nook with an oversized Sixpenny chair, views of the labyrinth, desert landscape, and horses in the distance, along with a vintage bookcase, records, incense, and oracle cards for reflection. The other side features a plush Sixpenny couch and coffee table, creating an easy space for rest, reading, or conversation.
The Kitchenette
The kitchen is designed for simple, mindful preparation rather than full-scale cooking. With a Wolf induction range, Sub-Zero mini fridge, pour-over coffee makers, locally roasted coffee, and the sanctuary’s tea blends, it supports light meals, warming dishes, salads, and beautiful snack plates with ease. We are a plant based sanctuary so we ask no meat be prepared in the kitchenette.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom at the casita is designed to support deep rest and a sense of ease. The materials are simple, natural, and carefully chosen — Avocado mattresses, Belgian linen bedding, a selection of pillows, and the quiet texture of limestone walls.
The primary bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite bath, offering a more private place to settle in. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a bathroom just outside the room.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms are finished with Tadelakt showers, limestone surfaces, Brizo fixtures, and fragrance-free bath products.
The materials are natural and understated, creating spaces that feel clean, quiet, and thoughtfully cared for.
Outdoor Spaces
The casita opens into the quiet of the sanctuary, with places to sit, read, drink coffee or tea, and take in the desert air.
The screened porch offers a protected place to be close to the land while shaded and sheltered. Around the casita, simple outdoor sitting areas invite stillness, conversation, or time alone.
You may see the horses moving through their sanctuary, resting in the shade, or gathering near the edges of the landscape. The labyrinth, saltwater pool, desert garden, and views of the Tucson Mountains are all part of the wider environment that holds your stay.
Life at the Sanctuary
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Ranch hands are on property every morning, generally from 7am to 11am. You may see them driving the ATV, tending to the horses, or caring for the land. They move through the sanctuary with care and respect, and are always approachable if you have a question or need anything.
Our dogs, Jax and Luna, spend most of their time lounging in the main house or their backyard. During guest stays, their daily walks are on leash to ensure guests can feel at ease.
The sanctuary sits on 6.5 acres in a quiet desert neighborhood. It is private and spacious and mostly quiet. At times, you may hear neighbors, children playing or a rooster crowing. In the evenings, the desert has it’s own voice with coyotes, owls, birds, insects and the movement of nocturnal life.
We are located just minutes from Saguaro National Park West and Sweetwater Preserve, a popular hiking area. Access to the activities and the food scene in downtown is 20 min away.
